| Side Dishes | This Port is a very elegant aperitif and pairs well with various rich appetizers such as foie gras or intense cheese tarts, savory pastries or seafood. It is perfect with desserts such as crème de caramel, apple and walnut pie or even fresh peaches. It is also a great accompaniment to aged or blue cheeses, and is delicious served on its own and/or slightly chilled. |

Deep, almost opaque color. Aroma of excellent complexity, with notes of spices, along with curry, pepper, ginger, red and black fruits. The wine has a light touch of cocoa with a slightly stony finish, the result of good maturation. On the palate it is intense and complex with lively acidity, firm and well-present tannins with an extremely long and highly concentrated finish.
Winemaking:
The grapes, sourced from the best plots of the Quinta do Seixo and Quinta do Vau estates, were fermented at the Quinta do Seixo winery using the traditional Port wine method in granite lagares (traditional stone troughs). This ancestral winemaking method allows the grapes to release their constituents and naturally express the aromas of the grape variety and its terroir. After the harvest, the wines remain in the Douro region and are transported to the cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia the following spring. The wines then begin their usual aging process in oak vats. During this period, the wines undergo racking, analysis, and tasting, allowing for monitoring of their aging. The final blend is obtained from a meticulous selection of wines, in a relentless pursuit of the highest quality.
