Santos e Seixo Duas Familias DOC Douro
Description
A concentrated ruby-coloured wine with a complex, intense aroma.
Intense, showing the bouquet from bottle aging, with very present notes of black fruit, spices, light toast and balsamic. On the palate, it is a wine that builds in layers, with fine, very present tannins and a fresh, persistent finish.

24 months of aging in new premium 225-litre French oak barrels.

WinemakingGrapes hand-picked into small boxes and transported to the winery, where they were destemmed and gently crushed. Cold maceration for 3 days and spontaneous fermentation with temperature control only to prevent it from exceeding 30ºC. 1 daily “Délestage” and 2 manual pump-overs with air for better colour fixation and aroma integration. Maceration on the skins for 23 days. Malolactic fermentation.
