Description
Soalheiro Aguardente Bagaceira Velha is produced by distilling the skins after pressing Alvarinho grapes at Soalheiro. In the past, all grape producers made small distillations for their own consumption, and we are no different. In the early days of our winery, João António Cerdeira created a high-quality pomace brandy that aged for many years in barrels.
oak. After tasting it every year consecutively, our winemaker decided that the Aguardente Bagaceira Velha Alvarinho would benefit from at least 20 years of aging. The brandy ages in oak barrels, from which it extracts its color and structure, and which complement the intense aroma of the Alvarinho grape variety.
