Description
Tapada do Chaves Vinhas Velhas Tinto 2018 is an excellent red wine produced in the Portalegre region, Alentejo, Portugal. This wine is made from Trincadeira and Grand Noir grapes, from vines planted in 1901, harvested manually.
Winemaking:
The grapes are harvested manually and subjected to rigorous selection, berry by berry. Fermentation takes place in traditional lagares (traditional stone vats), followed by aging in French and Portuguese oak barrels, giving the wine complexity and elegance.
This wine has a high aging potential, and can evolve positively in the bottle for several decades, developing greater complexity and depth of flavor.
