The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 12 Years Old is part of our Triple Cask Matured range; a series of single malt whiskies crafted in a triple combination of sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks and ex-bourbon American oak casks. This complex combination of oak casks provides an extraordinarily smooth and delicate character, full of citrus, vanilla and fresh oak.

The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 12 Year Old is created from a trinity of spirits, matured individually in sherry-seasoned European oak casks, sherry-seasoned American oak casks, and ex-bourbon American oak casks. Once filled, the matured spirit remains unchanged in the same casks for 12 years – after which this complex combination of casks is exquisitely and skillfully blended to create this vibrant single malt.
