History of wine: Tinta Negra is part of the ancient vineyards of Madeira Island, and is still the basis of the wines that made the island famous. Outside Madeira Island, it is a rare grape variety that can only be found in regions where the sea is close, gaining another name such as Molar in Colares or Saborinho in the Azores. "Villões" is the nickname that Porto-Santenses give to Madeirans, which comes from the name vila (village) which gained a double connotation. This is our Black Paint of Villains.

Vinification The grapes were harvested manually, transported in 20kg boxes and selected on a sorting table. Destem 70% and whole bunch 30%. Fermentation occurred spontaneously, followed by 40 days of maceration. Matured for 8 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting notes Open ruby color. Intense nose, notes of fresh crushed strawberry, some vegetable. Fresh, textured attack, good acidity, repeating the aromas of the nose. Great persistence.
