Vale D. Maria Douro Superior Branco

VINTAGE 
In the Douro, the impacts of drought and high temperatures were very evident and the result is a reduction in grape production in this region, although the size of the reduced berry has made it more concentrated, thus increasing the potential quality. For this it also contributed the September rain (about 30mm) that helped rehydrate plants and optimize the maturation process in a year when it rained about 100mm in the region.  The vintage was short and very challenging. The quality of the wines is excellent, although the volume produced is smaller, we are facing a fantastic year 
In terms of quality, because the low production made the wines very concentrated. Even in the face of all the difficulties, we believe it is a promising year with very balanced and elegant wines.
Origin of grapes:
We venture into the highest regions of the Douro in search of the best grapes and castes that reflect the minerality and balance of this region and bring unrivaled freshness to the D. Douro Higher White Valley.

Winemaking and aging: 
The grapes are deceived and the fly extracted for fermentation, in an all -manual process. After fermentation, 65% of the stainless stainless lot lots and the remaining 35% make the last third of alcoholic fermentation in 500L -used French oak barrels. A 6-month internship is proceeded in French oak barrels with weekly lipstick.

TEST NOTES:
The D. Maria Douro Valley White 2022 Valley has a clear and bright citrus color. In the nose is an intense wine, with lump fruit aromas and some herbaceous notes. The citrus notes combine with the freshness that the wine has. In mouth it is a delicate, elegant and creamy wine. Its acidity defines a fresh and long end.
