Description

Winemaking:
Around 80% of the grapes come from vines that are around 25 years old of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Sousão and the remaining 20% come from old vines that are around 70 years old. The grapes were vinified in the new winery in stainless steel vats with a capacity of 5 and 10 tons and a small part in wine presses and were completely destemmed. The must fermented for about a week at 25º-27ºC with automatic programmed pumping over. Aging: Around 70% of the wine was aged for 16 months in stainless steel vats and the remainder in 225 lt French oak barrels, 3rd and 4th year.

Tasting notes:
The wine is clean and bright. It has a cherry red color. On the nose we find red fruits, wild blackberries, a touch of orange blossom and violet. In the mouth, rockrose, ripe fruits. It is an elegant wine with delicate tannins and a long finish. As a perfect pairing, I recommend grilled meats. John Guedes
