Description
Dark, viscous ink with a purple hue. Floral nose blending red and dark fruits, blueberry, plum, cassis, and rosehip. Quite dense on the palate with moderate sweetness and well-preserved freshness, succulent red fruit flavors, young yet ripe tannins, and a long, elegant finish. A medium-bodied but well-balanced Vintage Port style.
Winemaking:
Vintage Port wine is often considered the highest category in the Port wine universe, being especially suited for aging in the bottle. Produced from grapes of a single year, it is bottled two to three years after the harvest, gradually evolving over several decades in the bottle. One of the great points of interest of Vintage Port wine lies in the fact that it is attractive in practically all stages of its evolution in the bottle.
