Description

40 Years Tawny Scalla De Sousa with individual wooden box

Vieira de Sousa 40 years is an exceptional port elaborated with several lots with an average age of 40 years of internship in oak barrels. The prolonged aging in small wooden kites imparts this Tawny color and the complexity of the aromas. Vinification Vieira de Sousa 40 years old Tawny is produced with grapes from our old vineyards along the Douro River. Fermentation was done in lagars with foot foot. After fortification with wine brandy, the wine aged for many years in vats and in old oak kites in our warehouses along the Douro Valley. Tasting Notes: Roasted color with a brown top and a Green halo around it (very characteristic in old ports). In the nose, a wine of another was, but very alive and delicate. A fabulous concentration of coffee and liquor that comes through the palate with a long mouth finish.
