Vieira De Sousa Vintage 2022

It is a concentrated, opaque, deep purple wine. On the nose you can feel red fruits, ripe fruit, a light touch of flora. In the mouth it is complex, deep and velvety, the tannins dense and sharp but well integrated, wrapped in a blanket of juicy red fruit.

Winemaking

The various varieties reach an optimal degree of maturation, yet do not lose their freshness in the mouth. The harvest of grapes in the Água Alta vineyard was carried out manually, and the grapes were later transported in small boxes. After choosing the grapes at the entrance to the winery, they were de-stemmed and alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel presses, remaining in contact with the skins for several days. At the right time, wine brandy was added, perfectly combining it with the must, producing this Vintage port.
