Name:
Ginja, or sometimes called Ginjinha, is a traditional Portuguese liqueur typical of the city of Óbidos. Made from alcohol and a fruit very similar to a cherry, both in appearance and taste, this liqueur is a mixture of sweet and bitter with a touch of cinnamon. Due to the amount of sugar, be careful as it becomes very, very sticky. Usually served in small glasses, called shot glasses, it should be drunk in one gulp. You can also choose to enjoy it with or without Ginja in your glass. It has an aroma of cherry with an intense wild cherry note. On the palate, it is creamy, with an intense cherry flavor and a long finish. A liqueur with a unique and unmistakable taste.
