On the immense map of the Douro, there is a small point that delimits an old dream. It is in the village of Muxagata, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Foz Côa, in the sub-region of Douro Superior, where some of the best Portuguese wines are produced. It was there that, a decade ago, Pedro Garcias, a journalist and wine critic, started designing his own wine project, named MAPA, with the purchase of the first lands. Currently, the farm consists of two farms, with a vineyard area of about 30 hectares.
Color: Pale yellow
Sabor and Aroma: I smell elegantly and discreetly the fruit and white smell. In the mouth, it is very mineral, ending in a very lively and fresh way. Thanks to its excellent acidity, it even looks like a green wine, although the ripe fruit that feels on the palate does not hide its Durian origins.
Castes: Arinto, Gouveio, Rabigato, Viosinho
