Fermented in new French oak barrels, it remains on its lees for three months. It has a complex and fragrant aroma, dominated by notes of very ripe yellow fruit, enveloped by a floral touch. The subtle vanilla imparted by the French oak completes the bouquet of aromas. On the palate, it surprises with the perfect fusion of aromatic richness, unctuousness, and acidity. It is a wine of great structure. Only 3,000 bottles produced.
The wine is a tribute to Leonor de Almeida Lorena e Lencastre (1750-1839), fourth Marchioness of Alorna, a Portuguese poet of the 18th century, and one of the most notable voices of pre-Romanticism in Portugal. Possessing a refined literary and scientific culture, an active woman involved in political and cultural life, she encouraged the emergence of new aesthetic ideas.
