Description
VINIFICATION

The year 2021 presented a production above expectations. The 2021 harvest began on the 11th of August, with excellent indicators, musts with high acidity, low alcohol, and a very stiff skin, resulting in wines that are quite balanced. In September, weather instability led to a peak in the number of grapes entering the cellar and the existence of different maturations depending on their geographical situation.

Voyeur comes from 6 old vines located at different exposures and altitudes in the Douro Valley. Each of these vines fermented and macerated in 1000 liter clay pots for about 6 months. The mixture of grape varieties in the vineyards, including the white ones, is a major factor in the aromatic complexity and structure of the wine. After the months of maceration, the batch between the 6 masts was made in stainless steel vats and placed again in 5 masts to age for another 2 to 3 months until bottling.

TEST RESULTS

The voyeur is a wine that results from the co-fermentation in amphora of white grape varieties with red grape varieties from the Douro region. The color is open, light and lively. On the nose it has a fresh profile, with notes of aromatic herbs and red berries. In the mouth it is round, light and fresh with good acidity. It ends almost spicy and with a slight astringency that gives it personality. This is a versatile and uncomplicated red. An excellent pairing for those who like sushi but prefer reds!
