Simultaneously male and feminine, traditional and innovative, this exceptional pure malt whiskey is a tribute worthy of Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whiskey, founder of Nikka and first Japanese to go to Scotland to learn the art of distillation and blending.
Test notes
Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is an engaging whiskey. A first fresh, fruity nose, with fruit juice just made, a cornucopia of white fruits, peach notes and juicy grapes. Progressively opens in fine grades of pastry and cookies. It is a totally Italian genre, like a panettone with raisins. Malt notes are distinguished by giving way to citrus aromas (Clementin), a touch of oak and rustic notes (verbena, chamomile).
