Yamazakura Asaka Single Malt

Discover Yamazakura Asaka Single Malt, a unique expression from the small Asaka distillery, located near Koriyama in Fukushima Prefecture. Founded in 2016, the distillery began its journey to create unique and exquisite Japanese whiskies. This single malt is distilled twice in a traditional pot still from malted barley, enhancing the distinctive flavors of the Asaka distillery.

After distillation, the whisky matures for 3 years in bourbon barrels, enriching its flavor profile with complexity and depth. Unchill-filtered, it retains all its authenticity and natural texture, providing an intense and pure tasting experience. This limited edition was produced in small quantities from a careful selection of 10 bourbon barrels, resulting in only 3,000 bottles.

On the nose, it reveals a delicate complexity, with nuances of plum, wildflower honey, and bourbon vanilla. On the palate, it has a velvety and gastronomic texture, with pronounced notes of orange marmalade, vanilla, and French toast. The flavors blend subtly, creating a balanced and complex profile. The finish is smooth and persistent, leaving rich and slightly spicy notes of cereals and hints of candied fruit, concluding with a warm sensation that prolongs the pleasure of tasting.
